SPEAK STRONG - Stop Complaining

Stop Complaining

Sometimes, it feels like we live in a world that’s BUILT to COMPLAIN; Amazon asks us to review products, and Uber asks us to rate people. But, even in this opinionated world, the Bible asks us to do the OPPOSITE of complain. Our purpose is to point people to Christ. We won’t do this by complaining, but we can show people Jesus through our GRATITUDE and ENCOURAGEMENT.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 asks to GIVE THANKS in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES - even when the Amazon product breaks or the Uber driver takes a wrong turn. Ephesians 4:29 asks us to BUILD UP one another with ENCOURAGING WORDS. It’s clear that God wants us to use our energy not to complain, but to CAPTIVATE, leaving each person in our path more ENCOURAGED and in awe of God than we found them.

So, friends, here is my challenge to you: trade the GRIPING for GRATITUDE, and the BLAME for BUILDING UP. Stop complaining and start using that mouth of yours to point people to the One who never grumbled, even on a cross.

With Love, Victoria
