SPEAK STRONG - Praise Always

PRAISE feels much easier in church on Sunday morning than it does when the car breaks down or the plans fall apart. Why should we praise when our circumstances tell us not to? To “praise always” is a tall order; perpetual praise isn’t effortless. But time after time, the Bible encourages us that a LIFESTYLE of WORSHIP is worth our energy.

Psalm 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at ALL times; His praise shall CONTINUALLY be in my mouth.” Psalm 100 tells us that praise is not a punishment, but a PRIVILEGE. When we CHOOSE to worship, we enter God’s PEACEFUL PRESENCE and we experience His UNENDING LOVE. Praise breaks our selfish cycle of worry, and shifts our focus from our mess to our Maker.

It is a BATTLE to retrain your brain to respond with worship instead of worry. But, we were CREATED to praise the Giver of all good things. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and give it a try: next time the cards don’t play out in your favor, GIVE THANKS instead of grumbling. Remember the ways that God provided for you in the past instead of complaining about the present. PRAISE ALWAYS, and see what happens to your perspective.

Best,

Victoria
